#FridayFunFact3: Amazon sells several million books, and according to an estimate from Dog Ear Publishing, selling one book a week puts you at a ranking of roughly 500,000. Step it up the tail, and a near-60,000 ranking might be around 25 copies a week according to the estimate, with substantially discounted pricing applied.
These are fascinating stats.  Especially because we always wondered while we were marketing two author clients.

#FridayFunFact3: Since the launch of its Android app, Instagram’s user base grew from 30 to 40 million. That’s over 1,000,000 new users a day.
Nice growth! Why did it take so long to get the Android app version out? (we have an idea after helping several clients with their apps’ development and launch)

#FridayFunFact4: One in five Americans read an ebook in the past year, according to a 3,000-person survey released Wednesday by the Pew Research Center. Of those one in five, 42% said they read an ebook on a computer, making it the most popular device for reading electronic copies of books.
A pretty surprising number!
