As we mentioned yesterday, we think this is the new trend in infographics…and this second one in as many days seems to support this claim.  This one is also very well designed and has good information (albeit seen in infographics and articles before).  The music though…are we the only ones (more than) slightly annoyed by it?

The company[Facebook] also notes that its network receives 3.2 billion comments per day and 300 million new photos daily. The site also claims 125 billion friendships. Of the 901 million figure, 526 million were described as daily active users in March. Some 488 million people also used Facebook mobile products that month, according to the filing.

But the numbers are startling: 3 in 5 Facebook users have not friended or liked a brand; 78% of those who like brands, friend fewer than 10 brand pages; only 1% engage with brand pages; just 4% prefer to received brand promotions on Facebook; 60% are annoyed by brand communication on Facebook; 39% don’t think their “like” is an opt-in for marketing messages; 1/3 of those who friend brands subsequently drop the friendship and the brand.

The average Facebook user has 245 friends. The average friend of a friend has 359. Each person’s friend list is loosely connected. There’s a mere 12% overlap when friends are matched against friends’ friends. Yet 80% of friend requests were reciprocated and fewer than 5% of Facebook users “unfriend” somebody.

Over a one-month period, [data] shows that users Like content on their News Feed about 14 times, while their content is Liked about 20 times. Users send about nine personal messages and receive 12.

“Power users” — specializing in one of the activities describes above — make up between 20% to 30% of the Facebook population.
