Nice improvements from one of our favorite social listening and social media analytics tools!
If you are marketing an entertainment property you HAVE to have a presence on the top social networks (and, we would argue, the niche ones too), monitor conversations and get the word out in that space through influencers. As this chart proves.
This is a brand new, low cost, but pretty full featured, social listening tool. We are testing it to see if it can replace our beloved but now prohibitively expensive Radian6.

In the past we’ve talked a little bit about free vs. paid social media monitoring tools. And I’ve always said free is okay…. Only if you can’t afford paid. And although free sounds nice, I should emphasize the fact that they can’t do nearly as much as a paid service.

We’ll say it again, although we thought it was obvious from all the studies and success stories published in the past 2 years: social media is a very powerful tool for customer service and to dispel negative sentiment. But you have to do some social listening/conversation monitoring…and have a messaging strategy in place.
This is a very crowded market with some seriously entrenched players, so, good luck Bitly! We are most curious about their sentiment analysis tool. Curious about algorithm, results, technology. We can’t wait to test it out.
